Speedi-Sleeve
The groove a seal lip wears into a shaft causes leakage even when the shaft itself is sound. A Speedi-Sleeve is a thin-walled stainless steel sleeve pressed over the worn area: it gives a new sealing surface without removing, machining or plating the shaft — turning an hours-long repair into a minutes-long one.
Types and variants
The distinct designs that sit under this category.
Standard sleeve with flange
Driven in from the flange, which is then broken off once it is seated.
Flangeless versions
For tight housings where the flange will not fit.
Size ranges
Stepped closely to the measured shaft size, including intermediate sizes.
Where it is used
The applications this category most often serves.
- Repairing oil leaks at gearbox shaft outputs
- Quick maintenance on pump and fan shafts
- Field repair on machine axles and hubs
- Any repair where downtime is the constraint
What we ask when selecting
What we need in order to find the right part. You do not need all of it — we can work out the rest together.
- The measured shaft size
- Measured with a micrometer, on sound metal outside the groove.
- Depth and width of the groove
- A very deep groove leaves a void under the sleeve and calls for another answer.
- Position of the seal lip
- Sleeve width is chosen so the lip runs centred on it.
Typical designations
Examples that make the designation readable — not a stock commitment.
- 99xxx serisi
- The number follows from the shaft size — the right sleeve is fixed only after measuring.
Other categories in this group
Send us the designation or the dimensions — we will find the match.
A code you cannot find in the catalogue, a faded marking on an old bearing, or just the dimensions — any of the three is enough. The wrong bearing costs more than a late one.
